The whole liturgical life of the Church revolves around the Eucharistic sacrifice and the sacraments. There are seven sacraments in the Church: Baptism, Confirmation or Chrismation, Eucharist, Penance, Anointing of the Sick, Holy Orders, and Matrimony.
Sacraments are "powers that come forth" from the Body of Christ, which is ever-living and life-giving. They are actions of the Holy Spirit at work in his Body, the Church. They are "the masterworks of God" in the new and everlasting covenant.

SACRAMENTAL POLICIES
Reconciliation and Eucharist:
Although all years of Religious Education are deemed significant, sacramental years are truly the most important. Preparation for the sacraments of Eucharist and Confirmation entails two years of formal class instruction. If a child attends a private Catholic school but will celebrate their sacraments here, they must participate in our Religious Education Program the second year. Children generally receive Reconciliation and Eucharist in Grade 2.
Confirmation:
In the spring of 8th grade, large group sessions are held with the Confirmation Candidates to assist them in assessing ways in which they might serve the Church and work for social justice and also to address any questions they may have.
