Wednesday, July 23 from 9:30am—3 pm SACRED TIME, SACRED
SPACE
A personal, quiet day to meet God in silence and rest in
God’s love. The day begins with communal prayer and then you are
free to pray and reflect within the House of Prayer and the grounds.
Linger for as long as you like until 3 pm. Bring bag lunch. In person
program. $20-$30 as you are able.
Saturday, July 26 from 10 am-3 pm THE SACRED WORK OF OUR
HANDS
Presented by Kathy Skrupskis. Come, reflect upon and
celebrate the work of your hands. Our hands are an important part of
who we are. Our hands remind us of our pain, our passion and our
promise. The ‘work’ of our hands is more than making hats & cookies
& shawls & blankets. Woven into each are dozens of prayers and
heartfelt hugs. Take time to dive deeper & reflect on the spirituality of
work with you hands. Lunch included. In person program. $20-$30
as you are able.
If you have been searching for meaningful ways to spend your time, we invite you to explore the rose of hospice volunteer with Robert Wood Johnson Visiting Nurses. Companionship visits in patient’s homes or facilities in Somerset County, administrative projects, or comforting phone calls from our North Brunswick office, are just some of the ways in which our volunteers support patients and their families. A specialized 16-hour training will be provided by members of the RWJ Hospice Team, over the course of 3 weeks.
