EVENING PRAYER SERVICE WITH BISHOP BOOTKOSKI  
On February 2, on the Feast of the Presentation, and in honor of the Year of the Priest, Bishop Paul Bootkoski, will preside at an evening prayer service at St. Mary’s-Stony Hill, Watchung at 7:00 p.m.  

All are welcome to share in this prayerful event, as we honor those who serve our parishes through the grace and privilege of Holy Orders.        


DIOCESAN YOUTH DAY 2010
Diocesan Youth Day is an exciting day of faith, skits, music, presentations, workshops, Sacrament of Reconciliation, Mass with Bishop Bootkoski: open to all 7-12 graders!  Teens from all over the diocese will meet each other at Mt. St. Mary Academy, in Watchung on Saturday, February 27.  Come and see John Angotti, national musician and youth speaker and others from 11am-7pm.

THE CATHOLIC STUDENT ASSOCIATION AT RUTGERS UNIVERSITY PRESENT: IMMACULEE ILIBAGIZA
You are invited to hear the life changing story of Immaculee Ilibagiza’s , survivor of the Genocide in Rwanda in 1994, and recipient of the 2007 Mahatma Gandhi Reconciliation and Peace Award.  The date is February 2, @ 8pm a the Douglass Campus Center – Trayes Hall B.  Tickets are $10 and will sell at the door.  Refreshments will be served after the presentation.     


IMMACULATA HIGH SCHOOL SIXTH MEMORIAL MASS
Mass to honor the memory of all religious, lay faculty and alumni who have died, will be held on Sunday, February 21 at the high school at 1:00pm.  A reception will follow with memorabilia displays, and refreshments.

IN AND ABOUT THE DIOCESE OF METUCHEN
Next week, Sunday, February 7, the Diocese of Metuchen will celebrate World Day of Prayer for Consecrated Life.  The Church is invited to remember with gratitude the women and men who have dedicated their lives in service to the mission of Jesus.  We also want to pray that others will hear the call to consecrated life and respond generously.  You are invited to join Bishop Bootkoski, on Feb. 7, at 4:00pm for evening prayer at St. Francis Cathedral.  Those marking significant anniversaries of profession will be recognized at this time.  A light reception will follow.  We look forward to having you participate.

CATHOLIC SCHOOL TUITION ASSISTANCE
APPLICATIONS FOR 2010-2011 – NOW AVAILABLE  
Applications for financial aid through the Diocese of Metuchen Tuition Assistance Program for the 2010-2011 school year are now available at all diocesan elementary and secondary schools.  Completed applications must be received by Private School Aid Service by no later than Wednesday, March 31, 2010.   To obtain an application form, please contact the Principal or main office of the school where the student is registering.  A printable version of the form, both English and Spanish, is also available on the diocesan website at
